ASSESSMENT

Investigation (Criteria B)

Algebraic Expressions - expansion, algebraic fractions, binomial and special products. (Chapter 4) Apply the distributive law to the expansion of algebraic expressions, including binomials, and collect like terms. Investigate patterns through real life scenarios &/or diagrams with the aid of a table of values. Deduce general rules and then justify these rules. Equations, Inequations and Formulae – solving linear equations, inequations and formulae (Chapter 6) Solve problems involving linear equations, including those derived from formulas Solve linear inequalities and graph their solutions on a number line Apply the four operations to simple algebraic fractions with numerical denominators

Logic:

Identities and relationships

Patterns help us predict large scale values.

• Model Simplification
