4. Data Collection The following data of HIV prevalence, GDP per capita, unemployment rates and sexual assault reports in Botswana, South Africa, and Australia were collected to determine the significance of the relationship of the prevalence of HIV and socioeconomic factors. It can be concluded that a relationship does exist between these variables, and this also creates the sub-question, what has a greater impact on the other? The prevalence of HIV on socioeconomic factors such unemployment rate, or on the other hand, sexual assault reports on the prevalence of HIV?
