Languages have different grammatical structures. To communicate about the past in German, a certain pattern needs to be followed. Modal verbs add more meaning to sentences. People can communicate a more precise message with their use. (Phase 2) Careful word choice can help someone communicate their point of view more effectively and arouse more empathy for their situation. (Phase 3) Using language to share information about cultures brings people together.
