Show us your Skill – Create a YouTube Tutorial A skill is the ability to do something well, but how do we learn to master a skill? As our world has become more interconnected, a new educational medium has grown in the form of YouTube tutorials. YouTube is an excellent way to share ideas on the internet and you can even use it to earn money. It is common place for people to hear the phrase “I can learn anything from the internet”. However, is it possible to make the learning experience engaging and relevant? During this unit you will create an instructional video for a YouTube channel, which teaches a particular skill of your choice. The video will be between 2 – 5 minutes in length, and after filming you will use Adobe software to edit.

Free Choice Multimedia Project

In the final semester of Media Arts you will create moving image media of between 5-10 minutes in length.

You will bring together your pre and post-production knowledge to create a short film in the style of your choice.

Adobe software will be used to edit your sequence and create effect in post-production.

Assessment

In Year 10 Media Arts students complete two summative assessments. Summative assessments Semester 1
