Andrew Daddo has managed to have a crack at just about every aspect of the entertainment industry. He’s appeared on TV and stage, presented radio programs and podcasts, and even made movies. Best of all, Andrew is an accomplished author. He has written 25 books including picture books, chapter books, short story collections, novels and a vague biography – he’s hard to pin down. He also talks up literacy in schools. Andrew’s latest books include Atticus Van Tasticus, Atticus Van Tasticus 2: The Map of Half Maps and Just Breathe .

Award-winning Australian children’s author Ursula Dubosarsky has won the NSW Premier’s Literary Award a record five times as well as the Victorian, Queensland and South Australian state awards for literature. She is the twelve times CBCA shortlisted author of 50 books for children and young adults. Internationally she has been nominated for both the Hans Christian Andersen and Astrid Lindgren awards. She has a PhD in English literature and lives in Sydney.

Helena Fox lives in the seaside city of Wollongong, Australia, with her endlessly creative and kind family. She mentors and runs writing workshops for young people, and is a graduate of the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College in the U.S. Helena has travelled and lived all around the world, but of all her adventures, working with young people and helping them find and express their voice has brought her the greatest joy. How It Feels to Float is her debut novel.

Jackie French AM is an award-winning writer, wombat negotiator and was the Australian Children’s Laureate for 2014-2015 and the 2015 Senior Australian of the Year. In 2016 Jackie became a Member of the Order of Australia for her contribution to children’s literature and her advocacy for youth literacy. She is regarded as one of Australia’s most popular children’s authors, and writes across all genres - from picture books, history, fantasy, ecology and sci-fi to her much loved historical fiction. ‘Share a Story’ was the primary philosophy behind Jackie’s two-year term as Laureate.
