Single use Planet | Beeswax Wraps Students will inquire into how the development of resources can influence markets and trends to encourage sustainability. After researching into the identified problem, students will identify a suitable client and design a beeswax wrap range to suit the clients' needs. As part of the prototyping, students will be required to make, test and evaluate through an iterative design process, concluding with a product which demonstrates the students' highest potential level of achievement. This unit will cover the investigation, design, plan, create and testing of the design and final product. Light Box | Laser Cutting Students will explore identity; beliefs and values; personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; human relationships including families, friends, communities and cultures; what it means to be human. Students will extend their understanding of Adobe Illustrator before designing their work. They will also be introduced to the use of laser cutters for manufacturing methods. Students will develop building and construction skills in the workshop and as well as workshop safety.
