Translation Used

This essay uses sections of his reports published in the book The Mission to Asia: narratives and letters of the Franciscan missionaries in Mongolia and China in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.

Additional Notes

Ystoria Mongalorum is the oldest European account of the Mongols.
