Summative assessments – Competency based training (competent or not competent) Competency based training is an approach to vocational education and training that places emphasis on what a person can do as a result of completing a program of training.

• Questions and answers are submitted electronically

• At the end of each module there is a summative assessment / report

Optional Course Cost for Diploma of Business The Diploma of Business is an optional course, and as such it constitutes an additional cost which is not included in the annual Somerset College tuition fees. The cost of the Diploma of Business as at 2018/2019 is $1,850 (fees are reviewed annually and may be subject to change or increase after review). This cost is invoiced to students and parents, and is payable directly to the VET course provider, Barrington College.
