SUPERVISION Grades are awarded for the Personal Project in the same way as for the other subjects of the MYP curriculum using a set of prescribed criteria ASSESSMENT The Personal Project is assessed according to the criteria provided to the students. House Tutors are responsible for the formative and summative assessment of the projects. Internal standardization of assessment among the supervisors will occur using a panel system to ensure comparable and fair application of the criteria to the individual projects. Even in that case the written work must not exceed 3500 words. However, where a student chooses creative writing (for example, a set of short stories) as a project, the length of the work will be agreed between the student and the supervisor, and the written presentation of the project (following the required structure) will be shorter, as will other projects of a creative nature. The IBO states that the Personal Project report must be between 1500 – 3500 words. WEBSITE Students must use the website’s Year 10 Students tab as a reference for the essay format and criteria. The website is also the location of all student’s compulsory only journals. Students must make entries into their Journals between November of Year 9 and July of Year 10 PERSONAL PROJECT IB EXTERNAL MODERATION Official external moderation of the College’s Personal Project grades awarded to students is mandatory for all MYP students in Year 10.
