What Christmas Means To Me

Day 3 (Family/Friends)

‘WHOMP.’

Water sprayed through the wooden doors, almost like a flood. Although it was only a thin layer, it still crept through the cracks. It wouldn’t ruin the machine, but it’d be sure to damage the timber floors. Kenny reached for the door and more water poured in. Sunlight burst through the window cracks, blinding Kenny, sending him stumbling backwards.

“Platty P.! Your invention worked!” he exclaimed.

He couldn’t see where Parker had landed, but he was sure that he was fine. The teleportation felt as if he was on a plane ride, only going at superspeed, which made his fur stand up on end. Then, out of nowhere, a breeze blew through the house, getting stronger and stronger. To regain his balance, Kenny grasped the kitchen sink. From the balcony, Parker called to him, dazzled by the waterfall’s shimmering goodness. Every drop of water that fell from the stream was beautiful. Kenny arrived to meet Parker up top. Kenny waded into the water using his little paws. To his left, he saw tiny sequins dazzling in the depths of the lake. He stretched out his hands to grab one, but it slipped away. They were little rainbow fish! “Platty, look that that!” Kenny said as he pointed to the hundreds of little heads that followed one another. They popped up in a wave, and their scales sparkled with the sun's beams as they moved in unison, creating one beautiful show. They didn’t stop there. They started dancing and swimming, creating a stunning performance. They all worked perfectly together, with not one out “Wow, Platty P.! Look at that view! Come on, let’s get closer!” Kenny said as he ran downstairs and out the shack, pulling Parker along with him.
