Tales of a Moonlight Dance
Moonlight sweep the deck of the glowing ship, Thudding hooves of dancers resonate loud and clear, A flurry of laughter echoing after every sip, Bottles of wine, rounds of beer. Eyes fixed, the dancers sway Gentle music twirls, bounces, a graceful ballerina in air Wind whispering, as it lay,
A magical moment, one without care. The stars twinkle to the joy, of the dance, As sea spray blankets the sky, An image of beauty and bliss, at a glance, Excitement and pleasure, the time is nigh. The breeze strokes the sides of the ship, As it sails across the sea of dreaming, A soft kiss of the starlight on your lip,
Leaves your eyes open, illuminated and gleaming. An entrancing moment, a dove flying to skies, But the dark hands of night, grasp its figure, Twists its neck, its gut, it ties, Growing in malice, expanding, getting bigger. Roaring torrents of rain unleashed from the heavens above. Howling winds ravaged and sought, The destruction of the moment, a moment of love, And tears of sorrow it had brought. On the shore of a beach, rests a bulk of metal, Families cry, a sound so prominent, louder than hail,
Roses huddled, a forest of petals, Memories kept, of a saddening tale.
