Kingdom Dance

She glides with her hands clasped within his. Yet they let go. So close. Nearly there. The music conquers her. Her movement guided by the euphony of sounds. An epic freedom. Richness flowing through her veins – it’s warm. Spiralling in and out. Ephemeral touches incur a glimpse into the future. I’ve only known her a day. But I have known him forever. Feel the smooth ground which you bound over. The absence of shoes. Chalkiness – you are dancing over art. Or maybe you are the art. Eyes leaping and eyes sleeping. In longing come to me. And as the cymbals crash and I feel your touch, it suddenly becomes clear to me, I am meeting you for the first time. Eyes open.
