The Prince Who Stole Music

CHAPTER NINE

“Don’t you dare defy me K.C.. You send those robots right now or there will be serious consequences” yelled The Prince. “Yeah, no.” she replied “What do you mean no?” “I mean no. N.O, no” and she pushed him away. The crowd were shocked. She defied The Prince. The entire stadium was dead quiet, the only noises coming from the rats and lizards that had invaded after the music went away. Blake stood silent for what felt like hours. A stadium that was once filled with hope, joy and music was hungry for the sweet sounds of music… K.C. began to whistle . A simple tune, repeating over and over again. At the very back of the stands, an older man joined in. Then a young boy, a teenage girl, a middle aged woman, and on and on. The whole world joined in a chorus of whistling. Sound waves rushed around through the hearts and souls of every person like a tidal wave flooding the stadium. K.C. and Blake stared at each other, embracing every part of the tune. The Prince released K.C. and stepped back, overwhelmed. She ran to Blake, grabbing him in her arms. “Music gives a soul to the universe and hope to everyone,” she whispered, “let’s drop a beat”.
