The Prince Who Stole Music

with me?” he whispered to himself. The robots clamoured to the front of the auditorium, grabbed the edge of the stage and hoisted themselves up to stand in front of him. Blake backed away from the robots and his hands shook in terror. The machines dispersed around the stage and reached for the musical instruments. The robot closest to the front of the stage lifted its fist above the DJ booth and brought it down in a forceful strike. “HEY!” Blake roared in anger. “Get your hands off my stuff!”. He moved towards the robot in a sudden burst of bravery and pushed the automaton. To Blake’s surprise, the robot didn’t even budge under the force. It turned around and gave a great shove, flinging Blake into a wall. His eyes blurred and lost focus for a second. He sat up in a dazed stupor as the robot opened its metal jaw and revealed a speaker instead of a tongue. A crackling mechanical voice was emitted from the machine. “We are here under the Prince’s decree to prohibit the existence of music,” it said. Blake’s mouth hung open in complete and utter disbelief. No music? How is that even possible? “My entire career is based on music”, he shouted at the robots. The machines ignored him and continued destroying the rest of his instruments. As Blake’s eyes regained focus, he noticed the shining treble clef emblazoned on the robot’s chest. He recognised that symbol. That image was plastered all over the city, on cars and motorbikes, even plane engines. Blake knew who made the robots. Who he had to speak to in order to restore music to the world and save his career. He had to find the robot inventor, K.C.
