“Thank you and good night!” Blake wiped the dripping sweat off his forehead, the beads of perspiration stuck to the back of his hand and caught in his rings. His chest heaved with heavy breaths and he stepped away from the microphone. That was amazing , he thought as the stage lights dimmed, thrusting his vision into darkness. “Fifth show of the tour, done and dusted”, he said aloud to himself. He walked over to the long, silver DJ booth at the side of the stage and switched off the control panel, the glowing lights flickered off. Blake heard the crowd below shuffling around and chanting his name. He was still in shock at the number of people who had come to the Sydney Opera House to see him perform. This was his first tour since a video of him covering ‘Toosie Slide’ by Drake blew up on the internet. Suddenly, everyone knew his name. Everyone knew his voice. It was all he had ever wanted for his career, and he knew he deserved it. The crowd’s chanting picked up in volume and formed the single word that he had been waiting for. “Encore! Encore! Encore!”. He smiled and flicked the switch on the control panel to relight the sound board and the neon sign hanging above his head. His name radiated in pink light over the screaming audience. Blake moved back towards the microphone, greatly impressed with the suspense he had created. He
