As part of the 2020 Somerset Celebration of Entrepreneurship, students have the opportunity to participate in the Cordner Advisory Pitch Competition. This year our Pitch Competition participants will be nurtured by two of Australia’s finest entrepreneurial leaders and educators - Dr Baden U’Ren and Aaron Birkby. Baden is a charismatic and engaging speaker, who has been involved in the Pitch Competition for the past three years. He will be joined by Aaron Birkby, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016 after building multiple technology companies, with clients including global giants like Google and YouTube

Somerset College’s Year 9 students have been tasked with challenge of feeding the masses at the 2020 Celebration of Entrepreneurship. Students have researched the target market and developed products to tempt the taste buds of festival attendees with production costs limited to $120.

Somerset’s own student entrepreneurs will share their stories of entrepreneurial success and failure. Examples of both social and for profit entrepreneurship will inspire future generations to start their entrepreneurial journey while still at school.
