May have been a cause for the destruction of an entire civilisation.

They will delicately uncover with brushes,

Fossilised male skeletal remains,

In half - supine postures,

On rusted metal seats,

And deduce that this

was an entrenched religious ritual,

Where males waited,

Patient and long - suffering,

While females hunted,

Ruthless,

For what they termed,

“Contentment -Therapy

Treasures”.

To this ancient religion,

They would attribute

The scientific term

- “ Materialism” -

A pagan post - Christian

form of object worship,

Where brief illusory moments of pseudo - happiness,

(Akin to a shot of a drug),

Are experienced,

Only to be abruptly let down.

Once entirely uncovered,

The public would be awed

by the scope of the temple complex,

By the unquestioning congregation
