Teshimas's famous Water Drops, Scurry with heads, tails and long bodies, Picking up those who have lost momentum

Or simply have been ostracised, And dive into the larger mass; Finally home, Belonging to the whole.

The scrawled makeshift sign in the side alley At Karato reads: "Gold green tea Warm green tea with traditional sweets At RyoFu-An". Stomachs screaming for late lunch,

We get charmed - easily - By gracious Japanese lady, And allow ourselves to be lead Through myriad back alleys Where we pay far too much for green tea and pretty, pure sugar lollies. But we don't mind; Kumiko was endearing. And so we bow, And say Arigatogozaimashita And depart, Having lunched on lollies and green tea!
