This year’s Senior Musical is set to take you on a journey through time, nostalgia and the unforgettable beats of the 90s. Welcome to a show where the beats are infectious, the melodies are iconic, and the energy is electric. As I have sat in the theatre watching rehearsals, I have found myself reminiscing on previous shows that have kept their audiences enthralled, all filled with their special moments. This show will be no different, as the cast and crew worked together to bring to life the spirit of the decade – its energy, its quirks, and it unapologetic sense of fun. Together we step back into the vibrant era of flannel shirts, scrunchies and cassette tapes to witness our young performers bring to the stage the infectious pop anthems and the soulful ballads. You will hear the cast belting out powerhouse vocals, see them perfecting those signature dance moves and watch them bring to life some of the larger-than-life personalities of our favourite 90s idols. From the boy bands to the girl power anthems, from the grunge rockers to the R&B sensations, their voices and performances will transport you back in time. Thanks must go to the cast and crew for their dedication, enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to bringing this vibrant era to life. Together they have created an experience that will transport you to a time known for its irreverence, its creativity and its unapologetic embracement of individuality, and will leave you dancing in the aisles long after the final curtain closes.
