3.3.3 Discussion As the speed of the beaker increased, the height at which the liquid in the beaker rose to also increased. This can be seen in figure 7 where there is a positive relationship between speed and change in height. This has answered my research question and supported my hypothesis for the experiment. There have been no experiments that investigate this relationship in the same way therefore, the accuracy of the experiment is reduced. With no secondary data to compare to, the range of the speeds may not represent the trendline correctly. The relationship could be exponential for example. However, the data is relatively precise, which can be seen in figure 7 as there are no outliers. This means that the error that was calculated has supported the conclusion that all the data points fit into the positive relationship between the speed and change of height in the liquid. The

The scale of this experiment is very different to the scale that which Io orbits Jupiter.

A larger scale experiment could be done with different equipment.
